With the Option item you will be able to specify some of your own preferences in Fields of Battle. In the option dialog shown below you can change the following values:
<b>Battle speed</b> is the speed of the battles that are solved after each player has had his turn. Change the value by dragging the knob of the glider button. 1 is minimum speed and 20 is maximum speed.
<b>Use map tiles</b> is for selecting wether you will use map tiles or just want clean colors on the map. Not using tiles speeds up redrawing the map.
<b>Show Railways</b> enables or disables showing <l:h_rail>.
<b>Auto Status Report</b> enables or diables the status report to automatically be shown every time it is your turn.
<b>3D statistics</b> enables or disables 3D view of the <l:ha_stat>.
<b>Autosize area windows</b> enables or disables automatic resizing of the areawindows when units are moved in and out of the areas.
<b>Show background pictures</b> enables or disables the background pictures in the statistics and tables.
<b>Information messages</b> is used to select wether you want the small information messages (like Factory bombed etc.).
<b>Rotating logo</b>. If you disable this options, the <i>Bevelstone Production</i> logo will not rotate when you start loading. This will improve load-time on slow computers.
<b>Battle animations</b> enables or disables the small animations under battle. Disabling this option makes the battle window open faster.
